There’s always something going on somewhere in this country which deserves a more in-depth analysis than it will receive from the mass media. There are also parts of New Zealand which have vibrant local economies, unique points of difference and fascinating local personalities, yet to many of those in the big cities these places may as well not exist.
That’s why we need a magazine like NZ Today – in many ways it’s a wake up call, something to remind us that it’s regional differences that make New Zealand what it is.
