Adbusters magazine is from Canada and has built up quite a cult following with it's spoof advertisements and anti consumerist articles. This is a complex and superb magazine and goes by the tagline: The Journal of the Mental Environment.

This is quite an intellectual magazine. It challenges the role of Marketing in our lives and how, basically, it's ruining them.

Adbusters is satirical and sometimes humorous, but don't be fooled as it's also packed with hard hitting, serious and sometimes downright depressing articles designed to make the reader re evaluate the way we lead our lives and who is telling us to do what.
