North & South lightens the mood with our inaugural Humour issue.

Since its launch, North & South has published much of New Zealand’s best journalism – stories that have gone deep into the important issues. We continue to do this of course, it’s in our DNA. But we’ve also published some very very funny stuff by wits and writers with an eye for the absurd, the wacky and wonderful; wry observations of life and the quirkier activities of the denizens of Aotearoa.

And we pinky promise* there is nothing in this very special issue about Covid-19, Monkeypox, house prices, Gib or inflation. Just words and images to make you smile, relax and find respite from the daily news cycle.
